Hello
I hope everyone had an opportunity to participate in out online meeting through (Skype). The meeting really help me to understand the results, there more than just numbers now. This is my first time using Skype even though my computer comes with with a built in web cam and mic. I really liked Skype and definitely see myself using it. I already told some of my friends that are not from the desert about it. Wish everyone luck with their paper including myself!

Hi Carla,
Skype is an awesome tool. Our group used it last quarter to have conference calls to discuss group projects for ETEC 644.

Thanks for sharing your Skype name. This was so cool.... as I was in the middle of posting to your blog, we ended up having an actual Skype conversation! Isn't it interesting the way these emerging technologies allow for interaction in a variety of modalities?
Sometimes it can feel that one spends a lot of time wrastling with the tech stuff (especially when it doesn't work, at least, at first).It's good to remember that the whole reason we are doing this, as educators, is to be able to facilitate MORE interaction between and among people (and between people and ideas, and people and the environment..).
This was really fun! I am looking forward to exploring Skype and getting more friends and family on board with it as well. Thanks for your enthusiasm, Carla!

I participated in the Skype discussion and it was a great opportunity to clarify this final portion of our work. I wish we could have collaborated this way more. I enjoy synchronous discussions like Skype rather than blogging. It felt like an interactive podcast.
Skype is a great tool to use to make calls long distance to other countries. I have a cousin from Mexico who used it on business trip all over the world because it's cheaper. Unfortunately I wasn't able to participate in the online Skype session. Hope your paper is coming along well.
